Interfaith Intercultural Wedding Ceremonies

Interfaith Counseling

Couples of mixed faiths sometimes need help navigating interfaith issues that arise between themselves or extended family members. This is done with great respect, sensitivity and openness. Susanna is fond of saying, “Respect is the foundation. Love builds the bridge.” We begin my listening, without offense or defense. Through her 17 years of working with interfaith, intercultural couples, Rev. Susanna has developed a thoughtful questionnaire for interfaith couples to answer that helps identify issues as well as strong suits. Options are presented and discussed. This culminates in the creation of a blueprint for the spiritual life of the new family. Susanna's approach is both spiritual and practical. She is also available to meet with parents of intermarrying couples.

Spiritual Counseling

Spiritual counseling is a process by which you come back to your soul---your inner being. We do this gently and with compassion. Some come to Rev. Macomb as they are at a cross roads in their lives. Others wish to transform the quality of their lives. Some wish to let go of that which seems to be holding them back. Others wish to feel closer to God. I have found meditation to be the single most important tool in this process. It changed my life and the countless lives of many. Meditation brings you back to the essence of yourself and to a power greater than yourself—as well as to the essence of the issues at hand. Spiritual counseling also employs the power of prayer and affirmation, spiritual healing and touch, and soulful listen and talk. We attend to what needs healing. Blockages, fears and negative patterns are eased and then released. In doing this, we give room for the attunement to the soul. Attuned to your soul you can better direct your life, your spiritual path, making decisions from the whole of your being. Vibrancy increases. Creativity increases. Our capacity for love increases. There is greater clarity--- and inner peace. As you raise your spiritual vibration you come more fully into the path of your being. You become one with God. In the words of Marianne Williamson, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. And it is not in just some of us. It is in everyone."
